Today for the first time, Cartoon Network, gave a preview of their Fall 2005 Toonami lineup. They showed clips and introduced Naruto. The clips they used were from the first dozen episodes, and also used clips from the intro song. We did not get to hear any dialogue from characters so we still don’t know what the characters will sound like. But from looking at those clips, it seems it will live up to the hype.
In two days, Naruto Episode 137 will air. It is titled The Outlaw Streets: The Shadows of the Fuma Clan. This is the second episode of the fillers that does not take place in the manga. Here are some screenshots from the next episode:

Naruto anime series is going to air on Cartoon Network in September 2005. It will be played during the Toonami time block which is from 4pm – 7pm EST/PST, Monday through Friday. I know many people will be worried how many things will be edited out or changed from the show.
Rumors have it that many things in the Naruto anime series will stay unchanged. All the characters will keep their original Japanese names and all the techniques will also keep their original names.
Some things will be edited such as excessive blood. The more graphic scenes would most likely be altered. Scenes such as when Haku throwing a needle into Zabuza’s neck in Naruto episode 9 would most likely be altered and edited.
Despite the editing, it shouldn’t be too bad because the first US official Naruto DVD will be released in December 2005 right in time for the holidays. It will be completely uncut and unedited.
It is still early and some of these things are still rumors. We will find out more information as it gets closer to release.
